It's a musical remake based on the campy tale about a people-eating plant.
Little Shop of Horrors is set for yet another remake. The Warner Bros. project will be "a musical, a fresh version of the 30-year-old Frank Oz-directed film," according to Deadline. Greg Berlanti (The Flash, Arrow) will direct and Matthew Robinson will write the script.
The sci-fi story initially came out in 1960, featuring Jack Nicholson as a his iconic role dentist's patient. Bill Murray reprised the role in the 1986 remake, which was adapted from an Off-Broadway musical of the same name.
The Warner Bros. remake is in its earliest stages, so it's unclear who will star in the film or when it will be released. Stay tuned. In the meantime, watch Nicholson perform in the original 1960 flick.
