Broadside

I don’t know about you, but I have a soft spot for an attractive man that can scream pop punk to me, and that’s one of the many things that Broadside has going for it. The band hails from Virginia, which has been known to produce both lovers and some of the best pop punk acts the world has ever heard, so they have some big shoes to fill. Thankfully, a quick listen to any of their singles should go to show that their brand of the style is up to par.

As It Is

Already an established name in the pop punk world, As It Is still has a lot of room to grow into a leading role, which seems very possible for the band. The music is great, the choruses are powerful...the only thing you might need to get used to is Patty Walter’s vocal style, which is unlike anything you’ve probably heard. It’s light, thin, but the man can carry a tune when he needs to, and with the rough screaming of his bandmates, it all works out.
