Indie rock singer-songwriter captures the magic of falling for someone.

While some may debate the notion of love at first sight, there’s no debating the feeling one gets in their heart, stomach, and mind, when they lay eyes on someone and immediately feel a spark. This is the feeling Florida native Alex Di Leo harnesses with his latest single, “So We Go.”

The title track of Di Leo’s recently released EP, the video for “So We Go” features a love story intertwined with creativity and art, and Myspace has the exclusive premiere.

Wanting to know more about “So We Go,” and the love story in the video, we caught up with Di Leo to dive deeper into both the song and the clip.

Tell us about the concept behind the video for “So We Go,” and in what ways it represents the song.

“So We Go” is a story of two artists from distinct, and separate, worlds – she, a visual mixed media artist from the city, and he, a musician from the country.

As the video opens we see each in solitude in their specific, and unique, worlds, searching for inspiration and reflecting on those moments when pure ecstasy, joy, love and creative passion overtook and inspired their lives. I think those visuals, and exciting moments in the video are felt, and heard, throughout the song.

As each artist dwells in their memories and attempts to distract, and inspire, themselves, they come across objects, sights and feelings that spark flashbacks. We go back and forth between the two as we see what it was about the other that made them fall in love with them, and above all be creatively inspired by them.

Are you a fan of fine art, like the paintings in the clip?

I've always been a big fan of abstract art, and although I'm not a painter myself, I truly admire the work and creativity behind it.

“So We Go” is the title track of your debut EP, but it isn’t the first single off of the EP. What went into your decision to have this be the fourth song you released, rather than the first?

I thought that "So We Go" would be a perfect last impression, as it wraps up the whole concept of the EP.

The video for “So We Go” features Lexi Atkins. I have to ask, did you see Zombeavers, and did her role in that movie influence your decision at all to have her in your video?

Unfortunately, I haven't seen Zombeavers yet, but the director of the "So We Go" video, Cameron Uranick, sent over some actresses he'd worked with, and we thought she fit the character we were looking for. She was also in The Boy Next Door with Jennifer Lopez, which happened to come on a couple nights after we shot the video.
