There are times when we can all agree that people suck. Humans will let you down as often as they won't, but you know who will always be there for you? Cartoons.

But not every cartoon would be worth having there for you. Befriending Bugs Bunny or SpongeBob would probably get annoying real quick, and who would really want to invite a pantsless and forgetful Winnie the Pooh or someone as young as Stewie Griffin to their next kickback? We compiled a bunch of the cartoon characters who would probably be awesome to roll with and make every day feel like Saturday morning.

Plain and simple, Hey Arnold! holds up better than arguably any other cartoon from the late '90s and early 2000s. Of the kids on that show, there's no doubt that Gerald was the coolest. He'd be setting all the latest trends these days.
