Meet the fiery pop singer with a penchant for soulful love songs.
She Liked Classical Music, Steely Dan and Prince Growing Up
"I grew up dancing ballet. I was really into classical music, actually. My dad loved Steely Dan and the Eagles, and that was always playing. My mom loved Prince and Elton John and that was always playing. There was a lot of music going on in the house always. And I loved it all."
She Played Ilse in 'Spring Awakening' on Broadway
"It’s really fun. It’s exhausting, though," she says about performing on Broadway. "I think that’s a thing that people don’t talk a lot about is how grueling the schedule is. And the thing that you have to learn right away is really how to take care of yourself."
She Has Written Songs for Panic! At The Disco
Her manager hooked her up with Panic! At The Disco in 2013, and she clicked with the pop punk heroes. She ended up being featured on one of their songs ("Miss Jackson," from Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die!) and touring with the band. When it came time for P!ATD to record 2016’s Death of A Bachelor, she was called to help out again. "I had grown to being close friends with them,” she says. "Getting to know them better and working with them more. So I was able to get involved early on and write a couple of songs on the record. They’re an absolute dream to work with."
