Italian pop star looks to win over American audiences.

Just two months shy of his 19th birthday, Italian pop singer Alessandro Coli has already amassed quite the impressive list of accomplishments. Hailing from Santarcangelo di Romagna, Coli has been featured on Italian TV, and he's topped the Italian radio charts with his song "Sento Che," which spent over a month in the Top 30.

After a successful EP, titled Senza Paura, Coli is ready to take America by storm with his new single, "I Betcha," and Myspace has the exclusive premiere of the video.

Wanting to know more about Coli, and his music, we caught up with him to get some insider info.

Tell us about what inspired your new single, "I Betcha."

"I Betcha" is about a love story I passed through. I always like to give life to some of my personal experiences through my lyrics.

I read that you found your passion for music listening to Freddie Mercury. What about Freddie, and Queen, captured your attention most?

First of all, his voice. Being a singer, I appreciate when high notes are hit that way. I also enjoyed the fact that I could sing Queen's songs, but that was before my voice got deeper by the years. [laughs]

As an artist from Italy, what have been some of the challenges you've faced trying to break into the American market?

Understanding how wide this market is, and how different it could be to become someone here, rather than in my little Italy. Then, understanding young people's language, and reaction, to what's new.

When is a new EP, or album, on the way?

That's probably going to happen by the beginning of 2017.
