It's much more than just a boisterous barroom rocker.

Channeling adversity into creativity is often the best way to go. It certainly is for Kingsley Flood frontman Naseem Khuri, whose lively folk rocker "Another Other" tells the tale of an unfortunate turn to a bar night with friends.

"This song takes place in a bar. I was with alleged friends, and when some news about some terrorist bombing came on the TV and they put it together that my heritage is from that part of the world, a sudden wall went up," explains Khuri to Myspace.

"By doing absolutely nothing differently, I was cast as 'an other' and realized how powerful contextual definitions and judgments can be. A wall was put up in the blink of an eye. Where I thought I could straddle the line between races, maybe I couldn't."

It ends on a high note, though, and even features an exuberant trumpet interlude. "[Our producer Paul Kolderie] saw us all duking it out over the timing of a trumpet solo, and using very few words, resolved it. He just said quietly, ‘hold on,’ turned around, messed with the board, and played both tracks on top of each other, a few bars apart. Chris [Barrett] then did a real take of that second part, and we had our solo with dueling trumpets.'"
