Shake your money makers to this upbeat playlist.

“Everyone seemed to lose their shit when I’d pop out my guitar,” Throttle told us back in June. Now we can officially confirm that the 20-year-old Melbourne-based producer was not lying. We’ve seen the guy get his inner rockstar on at a special showcase during Amsterdam Dance Event last week and that was a total revelation.

Gone are the days when the producer has to be stuck in the studio — now he has to be a show stopper and Throttle has a natural knack for crowd-pleasing. Although he feels just as comfortable sitting at the console, as proven by his latest mix, which features Throttle’s dancefloor-ready take of funky classic “Money Maker” as well other feel-good numbers.

Listen to the exclusive Myspace mix and see what Throttle's been up to all summer below.

What have you been up to since we last spoke in summer?

Well, I've been pretty much touring nonstop, mainly around the US, but I've done some stuff in the UK which has been great. Also "Money Maker" was released about a month ago. We had a couple of problems as the music video was supposed to be out when we last spoke but there was this massive thing with Hillary Clinton asking for music for her campaign trail but it's all sorted now and it has been going really well.

Did Hillary Clinton ask you to provide more music for her?

No - I'm glad that thing is over now!

We're premiering your exclusive mix today, so we feel inclined to ask: what's the secret of the perfect mix, what are the dos and the don'ts?

For me, it's a tough one. I love doing pure funk mixes or like super housey ones. You create your own sound for a reason, to gain the right kind of audience, but sometimes there isn't enough time to mix in the tracks that you want to.

Where will you be celebrating Christmas and New Year's Eve?

Australia actually, it's nice to be able to go back there every now and again. This time I will be there doing a show and then I think I will do something over New Year's Eve which is still getting organized at the moment which will be really good.

What shall we expect from you in the near future?

Tonnes of music and tonnes of touring. It's good to get more out now because "Money Maker" is really doing its thing and it's taking off. It's tough to put out more music at the moment but there is quite a few tracks lined up and once "Money Maker" has done its thing I'll just be piling it out. I've got quite a few tour dates lined up for Australia early next year and back to the UK in December for a date in Brixton and The Warehouse Project in Manchester which is going to be sick. Going to be very busy!

Finally, how did the collaboration come about with Aston Merrygold and LunchMoney Lewis?

That was through the label. They pitched out the demo version which had a friend of mine singing on it. The label came back straight away saying they loved it and really wanted to do their thing which was awesome. At the time I was a bit hesitant, only because I had been listening to the older version for about a year nonstop. I was like, no this is the one! But as soon as I heard the version that Aston and Lunch had done, I was sold. They've gone for a really modern and fresh take on the track. It was great having them on board. Then when we took it to radio, it was really helpful, so I'm really grateful that they came on board.
