The voodoo-inspired clip comes out just in time for Halloween.

You know it’s Halloween season when there’s a new fascinating voodoo-inspired music video premiering. For the visuals of his unequivocally titled single “Atheist,” New York City-based musician Yuzima took a plane to the historic grounds of New Orleans. The melting pot of voodoo and oppression gave the performer a rich ground of inspiration and symbolism. It also provided a way to add historical insight to the ongoing Black Live Matter discussion.

The singer managed to add all sorts of social and historical comments into the three-and-a-half-minute-long video and we’ll leave it up to you to follow his journey through the streets of the city all the way to the famous St. Louis Cemetery No.2 while listening to distorted guitars and singing along to all the catchy ooh’s of this tune. “Many people today in music have similar messages,” Yuzima comments. “I want to show that it can be different, yet powerful and relevant.”
