From the iconic to the inoffensive, here's how you do face ink.
No tattoo sparks controversy like a face tattoo. Most tattooers will tell you it's the last spot on your body you should get inked, and for good reason. Even more than hand and neck tattoos, face tattoos firmly say that you'll probably never work a day job again. For that reason, celebrities tend to be a little more reckless when it comes to getting their faces inked just because they can get away with it.
When you play the game of face tattoos, some will win, some will lose, and some will be tattooed to sing the blues. Don't stop believing in these eight memorable pieces of face ink.
The Game
If you get your city's initials tattooed on your face, you better be sure that city loves you back. Thankfully for the Game, he's become a Los Angeles-based legend over the last 12 years and shows no sign of slowing down. Is it the most tasteful of face tattoos? Maybe not, but everyone knows the Game's ink when they see it, and it matches his personality perfectly.
Justin Bieber

In the Biebs' quest to piss off as many suburban moms as humanly possible, he got the tiniest face tattoo known to man. The corner of the eye isn't a bad spot to get some ink, but Bieber certainly found a questionable way to do it. Hey, at least it's easy to ignore and no one will remember it the next time he does something stupid.
Mike Tyson
In the complete opposite direction of Bieber's tiny dot, Mike Tyson's tattoo covers up roughly a third of his entire face. It was pretty controversial when the legendary fighter first did it, but it also helped bring face tattoos into the mainstream. Between every "shocking" news story and the fame brought on by The Hangover, Tyson's facial ink had been seen in more households than any other.
Mike Ness
Once you're a legendary punk rocker with decades of sold-out shows under your belt, you can get a little face tattoo and no one will have anything bad to say about it. That's exactly what Social Distortion's frontman did, and it looks plenty good on him. Ness recently added a small star right above his preexisting ink, which should be a lesson to all the young punks not to cover themselves in huge pieces too early in life.
Lil Wayne
Considering how many rappers have face tattoos, Lil Wayne's are some of the most iconic. From his eyelids and forehead down to his chin, Tunechi's got quite a bit of ink on his face. They're actually recognizable enough that anytime Wayne appears in illustrated form or as a Halloween costume, it's not complete without at least some of his most noteworthy tattoos.
Kat Von D
Obviously, plenty of tattoo artists get their faces inked, but few made it as trendy as Kat Von D. Aside from being a makeup maven and the most famous tattooer in the world, the former LA Ink star can also be attributed as the reason so many women have series of little stars tattooed along their faces. Kat Von D showed the world that there could be "cute" face tattoos, and hopefully no one who followed her lead will end up regretting them down the line. Laser tattoo removal on your face just doesn't sound like a very good time.
Gucci Mane
Regardless of whether you believe that the Gucci Mane who exists today is the man who went to prison or actually a clone of the original rapper, the ice cream cone tattooed on his face may be the most famous face tattoo in the history of hip hop. Never before has a frozen dessert looked so gangster, and never again will anyone be able to rock their favorite summertime treat on their face without everyone assuming they're knocking off Gucci.
Kehlani
Although many would argue against Kehlani's trend of getting small tattoos in highly visible places while leaving much of the rest of her body empty, there's no debating that she knows how to make spread-out dainty ink look good. It's in no way recommended to get your face inked while you still have so much free space elsewhere, but the R&B singer pulls it off as well as anyone.
