These are only a few of the 50+ rap-inspired covers (!) to be released in October.
This October, Marvel Comics will release more than 50 hip-hop variant covers—its latest, and perhaps biggest attempt to bring comics and rap fans together. (Remember when Deadpool and Howard the Duck repped for Run the Jewels, or when Rae Sremmurd covered an issue of Captain America?) These covers are inspired by some of rap's most iconic albums, like when Ant-Man pays tribute to Ready to Die by sitting in for Notorious B.I.G.'s newborn daughter. The latest covers to be released don't disappoint, either: Scarlet Witch covers Eminem's Relapse. Starbrand and Nightmask does Gang Starr's Hard to Earn. Best of all, X-Men nods to Camp Lo's underrated Uptown Saturday Night, whose cover art was of Ernie Barnes' painting "Sugar Shack." Check them out, via Okayplayer, below.
