He will no longer appear on WWE's website or Hall of Fame.

WWE has suspended its contract with wrestler Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka after he was charged for the 1983 death of his girlfriend Nancy Argentino, Rolling Stone reports. Snuka will no longer appear on WWE's website or the Hall of Fame.

Snuka was charged with third degree murder and involuntary manslaughter on September 1. A Pennsylvania courthouse found that he had repeatedly assaulted Argentino and then left her to die in a motel room. The case went cold until last year, after a local newspaper uncovered an autopsy that ruled Argentino's death to be a homicide.

Police had never charged Snuka in connection with the incident. According to Deadspin, the local district attorney's office had even refused to release Argentino's autopsy.

Snuka has addressed his girlfriend's death, though he has told conflicting stories of what happened. In one version, he found Argentino "gasping for air and oozing yellow fluid from her mouth and nose." In another, they had been clowning around at a public bathroom when Snuka shoved Argentino with his forearm, causing her to fall backward and hit her head on the concrete.
