There are always a few groans when word of a major reboot comes out, but Disney made sure to annihilate any doubts right away with the first trailer for the live-action rendition of the classic The Jungle Book. The nearly-two-minute-long clip shows a darker side to the story, as we see a young Mowgli navigating his way through the jungle as a ominous Kaa (voiced by Scarlett Johansson) hisses “What are you doing so deep in the jungle? Don’t you know what you are?”

The video also features Baloo (voiced by Bill Murray, Shere Khan (voiced by Idris Elba), Bagheera (voiced by Ben Kingsley, Raksha (voiced byLupita Nyong’o) and King Louie (voiced by Christopher Walken). Though, sadly, we don't hear any of the animals talk, the graphics are enough to excite even the most skeptical viewer. Watch the trailer below, and look out for the Jon Favreau-directed film next April.
