It's about bullshit. That's a good thing.

Jon Stewart said goodbye to The Daily Show last night the best way he knew how: He left viewers with information that they could use now. "Bullshit is everywhere," Stewart says, "and this is how the 'bullshitocracy' gets away with it."

Reason number two ("hiding the bad things under mountains of bullshit") even gives an example straight from the headlines. "You know, I would love to download Drizzy's latest Meek Mill diss — everyone, promise me that that made sense," Stewart said. "But I'm not really interested right now in reading Tolstoy's iTunes agreement. So I'll just click 'agree,' even if it grants Apple prima noctae with my spouse."

The end of Stewart's 16-year Daily Show run could not have come at the best-worst possible time: Last night was also the first primetime debate of the 2016 presidential race, starting with ten of 17 Republican candidates.
