"It wasn't over. It still isn't over!"

The CW is working on a television series based on The Notebook, the 1996 bestselling novel by Nicholas Sparks turned quintessential chick flick starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. Even if you haven't seen the movie, you have definitely seen photos, gifs, and quotes from this scene. Being caught in the rain never looked so good.

The series would likely not include the older couple in the love story, focusing on the younger versions of Noah and Allie. Entertainment Weekly reports the log line for the TV version reads: "This series will follow the romantic journey of the two beloved central characters Noah and Allie, at the outset of their blossoming relationship as they build their lives and their future together against the backdrop of the racial politics, economic inequities, and social mores of post-World War II of the late 1940s in North Carolina."

The project is headed by Nicholas Sparks Productions in collaboration with Warner Bros. Television. Theresa Park will executive produce alongside Sparks himself, so the story is bound to be good. Thankfully, it still isn't over.
