Jackass star Steve-O was arrested Sunday in Hollywood after he scaled a construction crane and set off fireworks from at least 100 feet off the ground. He also had an inflatable whale named Shammy, because he was protesting SeaWorld for using captive whales as entertainment.

Steve-O hasn't been booked, though he could face several charges for trespassing, setting off explosives and conspiracy to commit a crime, among other charges. Fire trucks, ambulances and a rescue crew arrived at the scene without knowing that what he was doing was a protest stunt.

"Some of the resources on this hoax could have been devoted to a real emergency," a fire department rep said to Associated Press.

Steve-O could even be charged for filming without a permit, since he was broadcasting it all via a Facebook live stream. Watch snippets below.
