Over 800 corgis and their owners took over Long Beach for SoCal Corgi Nation's "Summer Corgi Beach Day."

More than 800 corgis and their owners dog-piled onto Rosie’s Dog Beach in Long Beach Saturday morning for the SoCal Corgi Nation’s “Summer Corgi Beach Day.” Starting with just 15 corgis in October 2012, the SoCal Corgi Nation organization has set up four meet-ups a year, one each season. Exponentially growing from that small Autumn meet-up, this summer they’ve teamed up with Purina pet food and Queen's Best Stumpy Dog Rescue for free gifts support and information on how to foster a corgi, respectively. Activities included costume and limbo contests, as well as the one for the best butt. Here are just some of the die hard corgi fans that attended.
