This 21-year-old from the UK is making waves as a singer, DJ and producer — all in one.

Like many other 21-year-olds, Harrison enjoys watching movies with his family and playing rugby with his buddies. Unlike other 21-year-olds, the UK-bred DJ, producer and vocalist  is making a name for himself by both singing and producing his own dance tracks. Unlike other 21-year-olds, he’s collaborated with David Guetta and GLOWINTHEDARK, has been featured on a Steve Aoki album, and has had his vocals on a dance anthem (“Ain’t A Party”) already.

Harrison spent his early years singing in pubs and restaurants, but the lure of dance music was undeniable and he started creating dance anthems early in his career. Harrison talks to Myspace about the difference between DJing and producing, the artist he’d most like to collaborate with and what he's working on now.

Hometown: Norwich, England

Homebase: 30 minutes from London

You are blossoming on the live circuit as an artist, but what has been your favorite show so far over the past year and why?

Getting to premiere my track “Sally” with Hardwell at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam was just an indescribable feeling, that whole week was very special and I will never forget it.

When did you realize you wanted to DJ and perform live?

When I got to see my friends all perform at their shows, it inspired me to take it on. I was about 18.

Was there an artist that made you think, Oh, I could do that...

Eminem

What do you like better, DJing or producing?

Producing is very special, and without the production its very hard to DJ with the right spirit. But being able to write a track and produce a track that is very powerful and that has a lot of meaning makes both the producing and the DJing very special.

How did you discover dance music?

It was definitely discovered through more of my pop and rock tracks which when I started getting email replies from the dance industry agents, I found a liking in switching them over to dance styles.

Did you ever play other instruments before producing?

I played a bit of guitar and a bit of piano.

You've worked with David Guetta and Vinai. Who else would you love to collaborate with?

Tiësto for sure!

Do you think you will head over into the realm of remixing? Whose songs do you want to remix?

I have not given remixing a lot of thought yet really, because I really just love writing my own stuff and producing right now. I’m still in the stage of trying to show people what I am capable of as Harrison.

What are you working on now?

[I’m looking forward to releasing] some solo Harrison released tracks.
