Just when you thought it was over.
Degrassi, the Canadian teen drama series that made it through 14 seasons before being canceled, is not quite done yet. DHX Media Ltd., the company that created Degrassi, announced Tuesday the show will return with a new season on Netflix—that's right, another spin-off.
The new season will be called Degrassi: Next Class, and will continue the show's tradition of following a group of teenagers as they navigate the drama of growing up. "The series strives to entertain its post-millennial audience while always reinforcing its core principle: You are not alone," DHX Media Ltd. said in a statement.
Over the years, the show made names for rapper Drake, Shenae Grimes, Nina Dobrev and Lauren Collins. Drake even rapped as his character Jimmy on the show.
Degrassi: Next Class will be coming to laptops near you in early 2016.
