Noooooooooooooooooo.
SPOILERS (THOUGH, REALLY, WHAT KIND OF GoT FAN ARE YOU IF YOU STILL HAVEN'T WATCHED THE FINALE?) One of the directors of Game of Thrones has gone on record: "I can say emphatically that Jon Snow is definitely dead."
The sad, sad (and grisly) murder of Jon Snow in the Season 5 finale shocked everyone (well, everyone who didn't read A Dance With Dragons four years ago). And despite that very large pool of blood that gathered beneath our fallen hero, rumors are rampant amongst critics, fans and superfans alike that our favorite bastard is coming back (...in what capacity—as a White Walker or otherwise—no one knows).
In the meantime, the cast and crew of GoT are making their press rounds, insisting that Snow is really, actually, very much dead. Like one of the series' directors, David Nutter, in an interview with Variety: “I can say emphatically that Jon Snow is definitely dead."
He continued: "Kit Harington is just a great guy and Kit was sad to leave the crew. It’s an emotional feeling as well. But I felt it was important to set up the sequence as quickly as possible so you didn’t expect it or wait for it. I didn’t want it to linger. I wanted it to catch you by surprise."
Harrington himself even seemingly confirmed with Entertainment Weekly: “I’ve been told I’m dead. I’m dead. I’m not coming back next season. So that’s all I can tell you, really.”
We have another ENTIRE YEAR until Season 6—some of us are dealing with this news better than others.
