Metric are back: Listen to "The Shade" below. The band posted the video just today with the caption "People of tomorrow, check out 'The Shade,' the first single off our latest full length studio album coming out later this year!" 

It's been three years since the Toronto-based four-piece released Synthetica, their fifth studio album. Frontwoman Emily Haines and guitarist James Shaw also play in side project Broken Social Scene. Stay tuned for news on Metric's forthcoming album.
