It was eight, long, romantical months, but reps for Ariana Grande, 21, and Big Sean, 27, have confirmed that the couple have split. 

In a statement to Us Weekly, their reps shared that the two "both deeply care for each other and remain close friends. We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this personal matter at this time."

Us Mag adds that their "inside sources" added that the two amicably went their separate ways "a few weeks ago," thanks to rough touring schedules. 

 ...Which is odd because just six days ago, Big Sean Instagrammed a shot of himself in a Detroit Tigers cap, along with the caption "I give her the big D." Grande's father cheekily responded with a comment: "That D. better be Detroit Sean."

Unless Papa Grande had no idea the two had already split... or if the couple didn't really break up weeks ago.
