'Five Nights at Freddy's 3' just dropped on Steam.
The Five Nights at Freddy's game franchise is one of the biggest indie sleeper hits of the decade. The first installment, simply titled Five Nights at Freddy's, was released in 2014 and at its core is your standard point-and-click just-try-to-survive game: It's easy. Kinda. Survive your shift at the freaky Freddy Fazbear's Pizza (think a demonic Chuck E. Cheese) from midnight through 6 AM by flipping through a network of security cameras to track the movement of the possessed (or something) animatronic robots before it's too late.
The game was a surprise blockbuster and spawned two sequels, Five Nights at Freddy's 2 and now 3.
In this third and latest installment, we find ourselves 30 years following the closing of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza:
"...The events that took place there have become nothing more than a rumor and a childhood memory, but the owners of 'Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction' are determined to revive the legend and make the experience as authentic as possible for patrons, going to great lengths to find anything that might have survived decades of neglect and ruin."
Five Nights at Freddy's 3 is now available on Steam for $7.99.
