West touched upon his new album, Drake being the hottest rapper in the world and, of course, fighting for his spot in fashion's front row.

The last time Kanye West chatted with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe, the world's takeaway consisted of three words: leather sweat pants. This time, the headlines scream KANYE CRIES.

And that he did: When the conversation arrived upon the topic of the passing of reonwned British fashion professor Louise Wilson, the interview paused for an emotional West, who sought out Wilson's guidance when launching his own fashion career. He refers to Wilson as "the greatest fashion instructor of all time, and I'm talking about of all time."

Other topic of interest:

  • West believes Drake is the hottest rapper in game right now. He says Big Sean is one of the hottest rappers in the game.
  • On his new album, West remarks, "The College Dropout" came out of a fight to rap. This new album’s coming out of a fight to design."
  • West says he's nicer than people think: "But as soon as people start playing games, I stop playing games. At any moment I can hit that Ye button and we can go right back to day one."
  • He apologies to fans of his new Adidas fashion line, saying, “Exclusivity is the new N-word. That is the new N-word. Nothing should be exclusive! Everyone should have an opportunity to drink from the same fountain.”
  • Is he touring with Rihanna this year? Well, "I don't believe I'm supposed to confirm or not confirm."
  • One more comment about the Grammys, okay?: "I hadn’t been in six years and the Grammys are definitely like an ex-girlfriend, soon as you get in the car with them, you want to go right back home."
