The star who brought Katness Everdeen to life on the silver screen believes "it's too soon."
As The Hunger Games; Mockingjay - Part 2 rules the box office for another week, Lionsgate—the studio behind the film franchise—has hinted to exploring other spin-off films from the original story. However, Jennifer Lawrence says she won't be part of it.
"I wouldn't be involved," the Hunger Games star told Variety during the premiere of her new movie, Joy. "I think it's too soon. They've got to let the body get cold, in my opinion."
She does have a point. Despite being No. 1 at the box office, the latest installment grossed the least compared to the other three movies.
And with Joy releasing on Christmas Day (December 25), she's clearly focused on the future and is more than happy to leave Katness in the past—at least for now.
