The 'Born This Way' singer reveals her daily struggles with keeping her life in a happy place.

Lady Gaga is one of the biggest pop stars on the planet, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have her own struggles to get through.

In a recent interview with Billboard, she spoke candidly about how she has been dealing with bouts of depression and anxiety throughout her life despite her current celebrity status. "I've suffered through depression and anxiety my entire life," she told the magazine, "I still suffer with it every single day. I just want these kids to know that that depth that they feel as human beings is normal. We were born that way. This modern thing, where everyone is feeling shallow and less connected? That's not human."

She also talks about how many kids today go through the web and "read all of this extremely hateful language on the Internet" and said, "It used to be a fantastic resource—but you have to sort through shit to find the good stuff."

She also added, "These kids just want to feel human, but they feel like robots. They don’t understand why they’re so sad. There are scientific reasons, which the foundation researches, why you feel sad when you look at your phone all day."

Despite overcoming her own obstacles, Lady Gaga has started a number of initiatives to help younger people find peace and be okay with who they are including the Born This Why Foundation. Her latest single, "Till It Happens to You," also addresses these problems and hopes to show young people that things can get better.
