Kanye West, the next American Idol? On Saturday he auditioned for the reality competition show's final season. He even performed an original song, which can be risky. But he rapped "Gold Digger," off 2005's Late Registration, most likely because it namechecks one of Idol's judges: "But I'm looking for the one, have you seen her? / My psychic told me that she has an ass like Serena / Trina, Jennifer Lopez ..." It's the sort of move that only, say, a Grammy-winning superstar can pull off. Watch Kanye's "audition" below.
