Formed in 2011 by multi-instrumentalist, Life of Agony drummer, and Type O Negative co-founder Sal Abruscato in Brooklyn, New York, A Pale Horse Named Death blends the brooding goth metal of Danzig, Biohazard, and H.I.M. with the turgid, post-grunge hard rock of Alice in Chains.
Abruscato, along with guitarist, sound engineer, and right-hand man Matt Brown (Seventh Void), and a crack team of players, released And Hell Will Follow Me, the first album under the moniker, in 2011. The band's sophomore long-player, Lay My Soul to Waste, followed in 2013. ~ James Christopher Monger
