The seven track ep is drenched in the rich soul/funk/rare groove characteristics of yesteryear and his influences shine through with distinguished strength

The eldest of 3 siblings...Andre was born into a lower working class semi immigrant family in Peterborough, UK.

Early life was shaky due to an unstable environment & by the age of 8 he was relocated into a children's home, a kind of blessing in disguise as this was where he found his sanctuary in the form of music, falling in love with soul, motown, rock & what would be his life long love, hip hop music through the extensive record collection donated to the home, fast forward to 14 years of age & Andre picks up a guitar for the first time, becoming heavily inspired by guitarists like Jimi Hendrix, Lenny Kravitz & BB King.

At 22, he sets out to pursue his mission to become a hip hop producer & over the next 15 years he forms alliance & collaborates with a plethora of international artists such as Jean Grae, Jonzi D, Jeye Severe, Senica da Misfit, Terra Firma, Serocee & Roots Manuva's Banana Klan to name a few.

Solo works

In 2012 Andre Devaugn began to explore new frontiers inspired by his love for rare groove, soul, funk, jazz & original music that crafted hip hop & forms The seventh groove consortium.It is only now he gets to showcase his full array of skills in the way of guitars, bass, keys, vocals & production, all being played & recorded by himself.Upon the 1st unofficial release 'Movin' Up (Where I belong) Andre gained the attention of stylish French record label Lokossa Music, and is currently working on his 2nd, slightly more up to date sounding e.p 'Never come back', and to be followed in 2015 by another edgy, retro soulful rare groove fusion album called 'The internal maze of deceit'.

Andre describes his sound as "Musical time travel".....
