Ameen "The Comforter" I was born April 11 at USA Hospital in Mobile, Alabama.
I've graduated from Bishop State Community College in 1995. I am currently still living in Mobile. I am known as artist Ameen (Imean) "The Comforter". I attended El Bethel Kindergarten, Maryvale Elementary, Mae Eanes Middle, L.B. Williams High and Bishop State Community College. Life is a treasure given to you by God. Something you must treasure forever. There is nothing greater than to be one with God and have everlasting life. Right now, in my life I am at peace. I feel good about the things I have accomplished and the dreams I plan to achieve. I began rapping in 1995 and I am still hard at it. Rap is my life, I eat, sleep and breathe rap. Two little boys T.J and J.J, who were young rappers, inspired me to start rapping. I started out helping them get in the rap game and ended up in the game myself. Since I have started rapping, I've seen a lot of things and it has taken me too many different places. My first high school performance, in 1998 at John L. Leflore lead me to another performance at Dearborn Street YMCA and an interview on TeenTalk at Fox 15 WJTC 44 Television Station with the host Dj Ray Ray from 93 BLX Radio Station. I have opened shows for UGK at Club Metro and met the rappers Bun B. and the late Pimp C., Goodie Mob at Pensacola Fairground in Florida and Master P. at the Mobile Civic Center. I have performed in many cities and states in the south: such as Bay Saint Louis, Biloxi and Pascagoula,Mississippi, Guntersville, Birmingham, Prattville, Coffeeville, Evergreen, Montgomery, Atmore and Bay Minette, Alabama, New Orleans and Ville Platte, Louisiana and as far north as Chicago, IL.. I also have had my share of the local clubs here in Mobile: The Metro, The Midway, Shorty's, The Knight of Columbus, Club Miami, Club Limited, J.R. Place, Club Divine, The Mini Mall, Club Matadore, Cotton Club and many many more. I have also done shows at The Yvonne Kennedy Auditorium. I have traveled to places such as Chicago, Il., Detroit, Mi., Cleveland, Oh., Baltimore, Md., Washington D.C., Fayetteville, NC., the Memorial Day Bike Festival in Myrtle Beach, SC., Savannah, Ga., Atlanta,Ga., Daytona Beach, Fl., Orlando, Fl., Delray, Fl., Miami, Fl., Tampa, Fl.,Panama City, Fl., Pensacola, Fl., Memphis, Tenn., Jackson, Miss., New Orleans,La., Baton Rouge, La., Shreveport, La., Houston, TX. Las Vegas, NV. to Honolulu, Hi.. I also attended the Get'em Magazine awards in 2005, along with host of block party’s for the hoods showing much love to my people. I have produced six (6) cds: S.W.A.N - with the album "On A Mission" with the single "Black Warrior", A-Mob - with the album Platinum A-Mob"Lets’ Get Ready For War", Str8 (straight) Drop - with the album Rode(road) Blockin Vol.1, myself - with the album My Hood "Its A Hood Thang", Out The Doe (door) with the single "Out The Doe (door) and On Fire", D-Boy Status Vol.1 "We Eaten Money" with the group The NBC (nothing but cash) Gang. I also have coming soon a new single "I'mFresh”. I have had the honor of being in two magazines, Under Ground Magazine in 2004 and also Both Sides of The Game Magazine in 2005. With rapping and producing, I have learned to mix, master, and create graphics for cd labels. My biggest inspiration, once again, is God; for without him there is nothing. Put God first and great things shall follow.
