For fans of New Order, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, The Human League, Erasure, Kraftwerk, Joy Division, DAF, Nitzer Ebb, Front 242, Skinny Puppy, Yazoo, OMD, Fad Gadget and countless more.

The club concept was established, after two years of planning, at Skuret Bar & Scene in 2009, and have since then grown to become a quite popular, small and monthly niche club at John DEE: Live Club & Pub and Rockefeller Music Hall with different guest DJ's every time - including celebrities in the music scene. Guest DJ's include Seigmen- and Zeromancer-singer Alex Møklebust, White Lord Jesus-musician, film director, actor, producer and writer Thomas Robsahm, famous electronica artists Karin Park, Sandra Kolstad and Lucy Swann, Årabrot-vocalist Kjetil Nernes, acclaimed stand-up comedian and TV-host Christer Torjussen, Gothminister Bjørn Brem, Eastern Strix, 'Hommage Records' founder Øystein Moe (”Maskindans: Norsk Synth 1980-1988” compilation), Monomen vocalist Kristian Rangnes, Tarjei Krogh (Anstalt, Oslo Synth Band, inspiration for comedian Espen Eckbo's character "Rhino Thue"), Apoptygma Berzerk-, Angst Pop-, Cronos Titan- and Chinese Detectives-founder Per Aksel Lundgreen, 'Magic Beat' host Pål Hverven (Radio Nova FM 99,3) and several others.

In 2011 the legendary hiNRG genre founding, Canadian act TRANS-X ("Living On Video") and the Belgian electro legends ABSOLUTE BODY CONTROL (The Klinik, Sonar, Dive, Monolith, Insekt) celebrated their individual 30th anniversaries with fantastic concerts in Oslo, organized by The Altern80s Club. In 2013 the dark Canadian synthpop pioneers PSYCHE did the same with an exclusive one-time-only reunion from local electronic legends THE OSCILLATORS at the official opening show of their upcoming 30th anniversary world tour.

Keep a lookout for similar events in the future. In 2012 The Altern80s Club also hosted the official NEW ORDER afterparty at "Total Bar & Scene" in Tønsberg during the Slottsfjell Festival.
