Grew up with a single father.
Throughout my life sports were everything, and I did about all of them. I went to college on a full bowling scholarship, but before my first year was over, I knew college wasn't for me. Soon after I enlisted in the USAF in the armament department. Though I wasn't in their long either, I grew more than I could ever imagine, and had the most fun I had ever had. I also met people I knew would be friends for life. Now I am a blogger. I read lesbian themed books and write my reviews, which are not summaries of the book (you can find that on any site) just simply how I felt about reading the book, and if it would be okay for a younger reader. My goal for the blog is to help parents who are trying to connect with their LGBT children, and the site is more about trying to help a parent pick a book to give their child that would be suitable. I love to read, but it wasn't always that way. Up until I was 24 years old, I had only read 1 book. I wasn't able to visualize what I was reading, and I would just give up. It wasn't until I read a book that had already been made into a tv series that I watched (the Pretty Little Liars series) that I was able to understand what I was reading. Since the characters in the book are different than those in the show, I learned to adapt a character and scene to where I wanted it to happen, and I realized I had full creative reign over a book. After that I took off and read as often as possible. Now I maybe take a day or two off between books, and I couldn't be happier. Before I had been depressed, but with books, I learned i could get myself out of it, but going to another place, even for a little while.
