Line Adam isborn in Belgium in 1972 and at the age of 5 she decides to learn flute.
She makes brilliant musical studies while attending school and at theage of 11 she wins the popular TV contest “Young soloists” (as flutist) thatwill project her in front of the scene. She then wins multiple contests andgives numerous concerts as soloist with various orchestras.
She then achieves a piano diploma, studies organ and gives up college toenter the music conservatory.
She obtains a first prize for flute, music theory and chamber music in theconservatory of Liege and later of Brussels between 1984 and 1988. Meanwhileshe meets the world….
She gets acquainted with “chanson française” and entertainment music andshe performs in mythical places: the “Olympia”, the “Casino de Paris”… and meetswith jazz, rock and world music. She learns to improvise, escaping from the classicstyle of her studies.
At 16 years old, Line Adam is thirsty for harmony and composing,particularly for orchestras. In parallel with her career of flutist and pianistshe studies orchestral conducting and becomes arranger and composer.
She is attracted by film music that gives a big part to orchestral musicand allows the composer to move out of “conventional” music styles.
These days Line Adam has composed the music of many films and documentariesfor TV channels of Belgium, France, Switzerland, TV5 Europe…
More than 1200 works exist to date from a single instrument to the completesymphonic orchestra.
Albums have appeared one after the other: “Northern Flute”, “Sculptures”,“België-Belgium”, “Spices” etc. and recently a successful series of piano soloalbums “winter facts”, “Deep skies” etc.
She regularly composes for various instrumental and vocal groups as wellas for theatre and musicals.
Her opera “Sybil and the silhouettes” with which she was finalist of theEuropean contest “Opéraj” was performed by the Royal Opera of Wallonia inMarch 2012 and her new opera “Skin flower” will be created in 2014.
