The individuals who form the Seattle-based R&B quartet 2nd Nature came together through producer Oman Quijano, who found three of the vocalists during a local 1993 Star Search talent audition, where each was performing solo or with another group.
Quijano contacted Jason Turner, Darnel Alexander, and Dave Booker after the auditions and the basis of the group was formed. Leland "L.A." Allen, a former player for the San Diego Chargers and part-time singer, was brought on board to finish off the quartet. In 1995, 2nd Nature released its debut disc, What Comes Natural, produced and mostly written by Oman and Don Quijano. ~ Aaron Latham
