"Oh the depth of the riches of the wisdom and the knowledge of God!" To know God's wisdom is the cry of my heart. Before I came to SOTB, I thought, ' Why don't I just go out with what I know and trust God to teach me what I need along the way?' But looking back, I see i may never have learned many of the valuable truths and foundations I've received in SOTB. Without these "vital truths" I would be building on "sandy ground".

In this new Millennium, the crying need of the hour is for men and women in this postmodern culture to be given changeless message of real faith, hope and love rooted in the timeless truth of God's Book.
The School of the Bible is positioned uniquely to meet such a need; it upholds in a powerful and practical way the great revival truths about God, man and salvation that are the critical core of the Word that can change the world. Someone asked me if I had a word for the past decade and I said, "yes -- trust God or die." Someone else asked if there was another word for this new century. I said, "yes, perhaps it will be -- trust God and die."
God's call at the edge of another decade, century and Millennium is what it has always been since the birth of the missionary Church: "to win for the Lamb that was slain the reward of His suffering." About me: Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is an international movement of Christians from many denominations dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Our calling is to know God and to make Him known. Our many ministries fit into three main categories: evangelism, training and mercy ministry. We are currently operating in more than 1000 locations in over 149 countries, with a staff of nearly 16,000.
School of the Bible is a "secondary" YWAM School affiliated with University of the Nations but operating in Tyler, TX. It is a Bible school that trains students to reason from the whole of scripture to understand the nature and character of God, man's relationship to God and Biblical strategy for transformation and discipleship of nations.
The school is eleven months long operating every year from September to July. There are three quarters of twelve weeks of classroom training followed by a short outreach. The third quarter is followed by a 4-5 week international outreach.
YWAM offers a 9 month School of Biblical Studies in many locations. This is an excellent school... we just want to clarify that School of the Bible is a very different school, not just the same school with a different name.

Who I'd like to meet: We would love to meet YWAMers who are seriously considering God's calling and direction for their life. This school will not only equip you with a greater knowledge of God's character through a thorough study of the Bible, but it will equip you with how to teach and communicate that to a wide variety of audiences. The school won't answer every question you have or solve all of your problems ... we like to think of it as a year of preparation for a lifetime of study. Company Overview ZRG Productions, Inc. is a film production company that creates innovative DVD Bible Stories that are filmed on location in Israel and presented in a riveting ‘reality-TV’ style. Headquartered in San Francisco, with offices in Tel Aviv, the company’s mission is to create accurate, passionate and intriguing Bible stories that will entertain, educate and inspire further study of the Old Testament.
History ZRG Productions is a result of the combined vision of three successful media producers. In 2003, biblical scholar and composer Yaron Kafkafi and director Rani Saar teamed up to created a series for Israeli television called “Old Friends, Old Testament” for Assaf Gil, owner of Gil Productions. The series was designed to bring scripture to life by interviewing characters in a reality TV format. Yaron is best known for his highly acclaimed original musical DAVID and Hakosem! Rani is best known for his work with Ktzarim and Zoomzoom.
In 2005, Annie Roney and Anne Bogart of Roco Films International saw the Israeli TV series and were impressed. They invited Jonathan Zakin, a US media investor, to view a screening of the series. Jonathan was inspired by the concept and decided to take it to new heights by investing in an all new production in high definition TV technology, while remaining true to the authenticity of the original concept.
In early 2006, the series was shown to a variety of focus groups for their feedback and input. Included in these screenings were Christian Bible scholars, Jewish Rabbis, pastors, lay people, teachers, parents and youth. New scripts were written and the official production of the new series (now titled AS IT WAS) began in Israel in March 2006 for a scheduled worldwide release in July 2006.

Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin. God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff-- including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see. This was passed on to me from another pumpkin. Now, it is your turn to pass it to a pumpkin. I liked this enough to send it to all the pumpkins in my patch. Happy Fall!
