Motive Company is a vegan straightedge clothing company located in Albany, NY. The term "company" may be slightly misleading...Motive is in fact just two guys: Doug and Lin...both of whom have been vegan for about 10 years and neither of which has ever drank, smoked, or done drugs. This is not a passing phase to us. Even if Motive ended tomorrow, it wouldn't change the fact that we would both still be vegan sxe. We are constantly looking for new ways to get the message of animal rights/veganism/environmentalism out there so that people can discuss these issues.
It is appearant that some people look at the site, and at the deisgns we have listed here and they say themselves (and to other people) "wow...these guys have TONS of stuff...theyre getting rich off of vegan sxe kids, and making a fortune off of our culture." Don't let the huge amount of designs fool you...the two of us are far from "getting rich" off of this. It took almost 3 years just to get to the point where the cost of blank shirts wasn't coming straight out of our pockets every time. Last summer things got to the point where it became appearant that someone had to quit their job to work with Motive full time...there was just too much to be done and an impossibly limited amount of time to get it all done. So, as of August of last year, Lin has been taking care of the design work, emails, shipping, and just about anything thing else thats come up to keep things running smoothly. And, yes, since it's his full time job now, Lin does get paid a percentage of what motive makes...but before you start with the accusations of us getting rich, let me just say that for the month of february Lin got paid $425.00....thats for the MONTH...if you were getting that at your job and i told you that you were a greedy scumbag for taking that much money you'd punch me in my teeth right? Exactly...so stop with the crap already.
