X IS FOR EYES originally came out of the destruction of two bands, The Last Tragety and The Final Revision. Three friends Matt, Mike and Bob got together and decided to start the band they always wanted, but just could not get together. Sortly after the start of the band in late of 2005 they began to get songs together and play a few shows here and there. Feburary 2006 they released "Shall We Take a Stroll into Oncoming Traffic?" which was recorded at Bombshelter studios with Dan Percision. The first ep was six songs and consisted of songs written before and during the start of the band. In late 2005, into early 2007 with the addition of Chris on lead guitar, they started working on a new 10 song full length which was entitled "Last Call....." Last Call..... was recorded at the bombselter again in ten days and is going to be rereleased on Window Licker Records in the next few months. Then due to creative differences and conflicting schedules Chris and Matt were out. They said their goodbyes and rode off into the sunset. Then looking for a new drummer and determined to keep the heart of X is for eyes alive they ran across Bert. Bert was the driving influence behind the drumset in which Bob and Mike needed to get it going again. They are now currently writing new songs for the next ep, which is to be released on Window Licker Records in the summer of 2008.
