Why Tuesday? is a non-profit, non-partisan organization founded in 2005 to raise awareness about the broken state of America’s voting system and to find solutions to increase voter turnout and participation in elections. We provide a platform for national dialogue about the current voting system and the need for election reform by bringing attention to the problems with our current voting system and identifying solutions that can directly improve the voting process, increase registration and drive turnout. Watch our video blog, become a WT? correspondent, and speak out for change using our tools.

"Be the change you want to see in the World" -Mahatma Ghandi
"If we want world peace, we must truly let go of our attachments and live like nomads. Thats where I no mad at you, you no mad at me. That way, there'll surely be no madness on the planet. And peace begins with each of us. A little peace here, a little peace there. Pretty soon all the peaces will fit together and make one big peace everywhere."
I welcome peace. The question is not "Can peace be possible in this world?" but instead, "Is it not impossible that peace be absent here?" ACIM
What They Won't Show You On Television The documentaries that reveal the parts of reality that we are not suppose to talk about; the parts of reality that contradict common sense, but still go on unquestioned by the global media cartel and unanswered by our governments. Spread the Word.
On Tuesday, April 15 the U.S. House of Representatives will vote on HR 5036. It will provide funding for states to put in place voter-verified paper records and audit requirements ensuring more election integrity in time for the November 2oo8 general election.
This YEA vote, and keeping this bill free of poison pills, could be one of the most important things Congress and Senate will do before the 2oo8 elections. Let's watch this one closely, as what little integrity and trust can be given our Vote is at stake. The U.S. House of Representatives needs to show overwhelming bi-partisan support for this bill so the Senate will quickly act and President Bush will sign the bill.
Bravo! on the current TV feature. Keep up the pressure...
However, with a 13 hour voting window, I still don't see why more folks don't make it to the polls. As much as I hate to admit it, John McCain makes a good point. If election day were a national holiday, would more people vote, or just use it as an excuse to do something else?

Thanks for being a part of this Jacob. Election reform has been issue #1 for me so far. The Media has been taking advantage of our cockamamie voting system so far and its been disgusting. I'm glad Bill Nelson is taking the initiative and throwing out some good plans. I want to see the Electoral College abolished, and no more caucuses, they're quite possibly the most undemocratic process i've ever heard of, every person deserves for their voice to be heard.
Love it !! I believe our vote should be free of computer transmission, compulsory, and the ballots be run-off or Borda method. It's the ONLY way to trust our Government after the last 2 elections. Anyone who does, trusts on a blind faith of human nature.?
As my note to you read, our city holds it's voting in public schools on that Tuesday which not only makes life hard on its citizens but also the added security needed since 9-11 increased the costs to our city due to the amount of strangers entering our schools while elementary children were present!
Why can't I vote in my public library or another venue? Why not where I buy my groceries?
And how about a Voter Card I can swipe like my Visa card?
Glad to help. I should mention, though, that Maroon 5 posted a bulletin to get my attention, then I posted one, too. Congratulations! I hope that money goes as long as you can make it towards positive social change!
