| About Whisk(e)y Knows |
Whisk(e)y Knows was formed officially in 2008 as an outlet for Vic, Mike, and Joe to play music that was strictly forbidden in The Mighty Bohunks. All three of the band members are related: Mike is Vic's son and Joe is Vic's brother-in-law (Mike's Uncle). They are all multi-instrumentalists who enjoy each other's talents and take turns playing guitar, bass, mandolin, upright bass, keyboard, and harmonica. Their selection of music reflects their individual tastes. Vic prefers more country-influenced material as well as rock classics. Mike has a penchant for playing songs that speak to him and his generation, along with more modern alternative rock. Joe selects songs that he likes to listen to and play around the campfire, or songs that make either him laugh or other people laugh at him. Brittney Spears, the Indigo Girls, and Four Non Blondes are just a few of the "Girl Songs" that Joe is famous for ruining. Mix in all of the musical combinations and an occasional bowed-upright bass and you have an acoustic group that will surprise you.
Whisk(e)y knows is a perfect band for the occasion seeking something different, entertaining, and able to adapt to the audience. Never boring, never too loud, almost always sober, Whisk(e)y Knows is an acoustic group to check out!
