About me: The authorities (namely Whitehaven Harbour Commission)Have removed Barney the Goose from the Harbour at Whitehaven where he was loved by the locals and well looked after by volunteers from Knoxwood Wildlife Rescue Trust. The fact they have removed him isn't a problem, as such, Its the fact that The Authorities refuse to tell Knoxwood where he is now living. Knoxwood looked after Barney when he was savaged by a dog and rebuilt his leg using two metal pins. The Authorities have said that Barney is safe and well living with a couple of female geese somewhere but I want proof. They have agreed to have the goose x-rayed but are dragging their feet in arranging this.
I intend to continue ruffling feathers until Knoxwood are given the answers they deserve. Full details of the Barney story so far can be found on the Blog along with links to newspaper articles.
