We are a webcast radio project based at the Westcott Community Center that seeks to serve not only the local Westcott area, but the entire metropolitan Syracuse, New York area.
Soon we will be adding a micro-powered transmitter to cover a few people in the neighborhood and our long-term goal is to build up an exciting schedule of LOCAL & LIVE programming that will eventually be aired on an expanded FM signal in Syracuse provided by our friends WXXE FM.
Our goal is to provide a safe, accessible, fun & educational resource that meets community needs; strengthen and unite the community by bringing together its diverse elements; and raising conscious awareness through public education, art and to promote the full inclusion of all persons.
LOCAL music + LOCAL activism + LOCAL voices = Westcott Radio

CFAC is offering a beginner level ceramic beadmaking class. The eight-week course is scheduled to start April 10th and will run Thursdays from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Course instructor, Bonnie Ryan, will explore with students clay handling, glazing and jewelry construction techniques that can be used to make distinctive jewelry or decorations. Ms. Ryan has worked with jewelry and ceramics for many years and brings to the classroom a wealth of knowledge and excitement about African and Indian jewelry made from ceramic, glass, and semi-precious stones.
Everyone will have an opportunity to create enough beads to construct at least one necklace, bracelet, and ornament. At the end of the course you will be able to keep all the pieces you have created.
