Salzburg born (1979) Werner Zangerle picked up the saxophone at the age of 14, after beeing tought the piano for a few years. He then studied Saxophone at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz with teachers Allan Praskin, Florian Bramböck, Harry Sokal and Doug Hammond. He also had compositionen lessons with Christoph Cech. After finishing his studies with a Master Degree (whatever that means) he is now trying to make a living based in Linz.
