About me:
“We took the most well-known and prominent figure at Art Basel Miami Beach and cloned him...sort of.”
—The Organizers (who went on to say: “Omg, wtf have we done?”)
The Sams, a participatory experience produced by a Brooklyn-based team of artists known simply as "The Organizers," asks the following: what would be the effect of taking the most ubiquitous figure at Art Basel Miami Beach and duplicating him, cloning him—imperfectly—and releasing his clones into the night to create multiple incidences of art world confusion and speculation across Miami and South Beach?
The project will launch at an early evening reception* for The Sams at Fountain Miami:
Thursday, December 7th, 7 - 8pm
Fountain Miami
2825 NW 2nd Avenue (at 29th Street)
The launch will be followed by a mobile performance appearing at the night’s major parties. If you’re anyone who’s anyone, you can’t miss it.
Catch The Sams again at Fountain Miami’s official opening reception on Friday, December 8th, 7pm – midnight.
