Toby stands for family values, a wholesome diet of grains and vegetables, the joys of old-time music, bathing and preening. He lives harmoniously with his parents, Charlie and Reggie.
But Toby's life, like many Americans, has been one of perseverance and some obstacles along the way.
Toby is the third of nine siblings--four of whom died in infancy or childhood. His mother, Charlie, had a harrowing birthing experience, having laid nearly 30 eggs over the course of four months. That any birds survived at all is truly a miracle, as well as a testament to Charlie and Reggie's parenting skills.
Of those siblings that survived, all were placed into good homes--they were too much for Charlie and Reggie to handle alone. Only Toby remains with his parents. For that, he is grateful.
Early in his life, Toby developed a keen sense of music, being able to pick up several whistles from his father and from television and radio. In particular, he latched onto two songs that represent his drive, patriotism and simple, wholesome values: The Andy Griffith theme song and Wouldn't It Be Lovely from the musical My Fair Lady.
As Toby matured, he developed another passion: politics. Toby feels that by bringing America "Back to Basics" (his campaign slogan), he can change the landscape of American politics back to something meaningful, palatable and fair.
So, don't vote for a candidate that's for the birds. Vote for one that IS the birds. Thank you.
