He has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma. He has undergone his first round of chemo and is doing well. His spirits are high, and he is preparing for the next round of chemo to start in about 10 days. The doctors have told Paul he will probably be unable to work for the rest of his life. So, Pauls family is organizing a fundraiser for his medical bills and long term care. The fundraiser will be held in Baltimore and be around the end of April, beginning of May. The family is seeking items and services for donation from individuals and businesses for a silent auction.
