Bio Terror Technology – definition summed up, Viktim. Viktim is an industrial band from new jersey. A typical description of this very untypical band is “ chaos, violence, rhythmic assault on the senses and the body” or as one astute observer put it, “hearing a viktim song, is like listening to a rape on the radio”.

Viktim originally formed in 1996 out of the ashes of countless ‘garage bands’ from the cornocpia of punk that is southern new jersey. Drawing influences from punk bands such as Black Flag, and Christian Death, melding that anger with the pounding pulse of Public Enemy, NWA and Schooly D, the technology of Ministry, Front Line Assembly, and KMFDM, the darkness of Skinny Puppy and the breakdowns and noise of Unsane, Cop Shoot Cop, and Godflesh, Viktim was born unto us.

A cyberpunk band unlike any to have come before, and none will ever follow, Viktim was formed and performed by true street slime, and scum. The tattooed menances that wander about tbe alleys behind the local liquor store would be a good group to look amongst to find viktim members.

Eddie Threat, singer, programmer, of the current incarnation, originally spit this putrid mess of hatred, shit and filth unto the world as a solo performance artist, until combining his talents with his kin of the South Jersey punk and hardcore scenes.

Following that, a line of talented musicians, have come and left in a deceidly ‘spinal tap’ sense. There names have been omitted to protect the guilty, but at their permission I would name the array of Drug Addicts, Suicidal Miscreants, Thugs, Punks, and Felons that blessed the stage with us. Viktim was lucky and happy to have the fortune of everyone to ever have performed with us, and are grateful for all the blood they spilt in our service. No one will forget what you did, but just like a whore trying to make a resume of all the cocks she has had in her, its too long a list for us to post you all here.

Cannon closed out the revolving door of viktim guitar players. Bringing an urgency to the band, and a very specific need for violence and blood. A product of the system itself, another bastard hatemonger, welcomed into the viktim fold. Willing to spread the filth that we call music to the world.

In 2008, we saw the addition of two sociopaths, from two very different backgrounds.

Sascha B.joined viktim on drums, slamming and beating a tribal pulse through our manic hatred. He came straight from Nastyville, TN, yes his Daddy did play the gran ol oprey, and Sascha probably did fuck your girlfriend. When hes not drumming with us, hes singing his face off with his project 62 Degrees Latitude

Jawswas a deviant since the beginning, after tiring of fucking his way through the teenage (teenage but legal 18+ :-)_ industrial scene he began playing music and started his own project called MyParasites. That brand of stomping, danceable tirades about the filth of whorey women lined up exactly with our own shit, and just like AIDS spreading in a bathhouse we were infected and he came aboard ..s

A slew of self released propaganda has come from the Viktim camp over the years, along with numerous singles, covers, and outright SLANDER of the name EBM.

From 2003 – 2006 viktim performed countless shows decimating the stages of clubs in new York City, Philadelphia, and New Jersey. If you took talley of the events at a viktim show, it would sound much like the police blotter record of an assault. Drunk and Discorderly conduct, riot, public intoxication, broken jaws, lacerated skin, lynchings, smashed bottles, broken guitars, incinerated equipment, crowd participiation, reputations tarnished, medical bills soaring, attempted suicides, overdoses and a general blacklisting of the band was attempted.

Currently, the band is working on new material, and looking to hit the stage again this summer. If you are wondering what to expect of viktim this time around, a good hint would be to take a blender turn it on, and stick your hand in. >
