During a cold December living in a martello tower Brian decided to start a band on his return to the mainland. VetoState was conceived on New Years Day when he returned a bearded man after a month sleeping rough on Ireland's Eye.
From Donaghmede in Dublin, VetoState are a 3-piece rock band with original music that crosses into several other genres from Ska to punk. With driving beats, funky basslines and dirty guitar riffs, VetoState create their own style of rock which has been described as an aural mugging. With clever, thought provoking and witty lyrics their music has something for everyone.
In their very own custom-built rehearsal studio in Donaghmede they spent several months in 2006 writing their own original material. With over 15 songs written they unleashed their music on the unsuspecting Dublin gigging scene.
Drummer Brian is also the bands lead singer and an energetic show man. Guitarist Niall and bass player Phil lend their vocals to the songs to create a lively and entertaining dynamic on stage. VetoState’s live performances stop people in their tracks, captivating audiences young and old.
VetoState finished recording a 4-track demo to EP quality in Pulse Recording Studios in June 2007.
