I co-host an incredibly popular radio show called 'The Big Dumb Fun Show'.
I have a passion for children's television. I want to be the voice of the cartoon character that entertains your kids.
Music
I listen mostly to talk radio because music can't hold my interest for long period of time. I've recently developed an interest for Green Day and an affinity for some of Nickelback's stuff. Are you like me and think that there are not enough bagpipes in mainstream music these days?
I think the local independent bands in Kansas City aren't given enough credit for the great work they're doing. We have some real superstars playing in our local clubs and it's a shame they're not more well known.
Movies
I could watch Ghostbusters and Die Hard over and over again.
Television
My DVR is set to record LOST, Big Love, Heroes, Entourage, Deadwood (R.I.P), Saturday Night Live, Reno 911, Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, and This Week in Kansas City (I'm a sucker for British men.
Books
I really like Fahrenheit 451, To Kill a Mockingbird, Huck Finn, and Penthouse Letters.
Heroes
Chris Stigall, David Letterman, Scott Vorhees, Broadcast legend Larry Moore, Johnny Carson, Micheal Mahoney, and Ernie Hudson.
oh and Edward Furlong.

I once did a stint @ KMOE in Butler, MO. I loved the job, but not the station. I'd love to get back into FM broadcast radio, but only if I could travel back in time thirty years, when radio was cool.
About me: Jeff Hirst (aka Venkman from the Big Dumb Fun Show) From my bio on BigDumbFunShow.com // He's generally not very stable and likely to do anything at any time. Venk rocked the airwaves on KMOE Pure Country 92.1 for a bit over a year. After losing a DJ contest @ KRBZ 96.5 then once again on KZPL 97.3 and a third time on 99.7 KYYS, he decided that spinning the hits, and reading off cards wasn't the life for him. With a passion for broadcasting still brewing, Venkman teamed up with Frank to develop the Big Dumb Fun Show.
"Well lift your head up high and take a walk in the sun with dignity and stick-to-it-ness and ya show the world, ya show the world where to get off. Youll never give up, never give up, never give up...that ship!" - Eddie Lawrence 'The Old Philospher'
Who I'd like to meet: I'm an interviewer by trade and by occupation, so when I meet someone for the first time I usually have 100's of questions for them. So the answer would be 'anyone with a good story'.
