About me:
The Vegetarian Society of DC (VSDC) has been helping people eat vegetarian food in DC, Maryland, and Virginia since 1927. Some of what is going on at VSDC includes...
Events, which are both social and educational, that are open to all, whether or not a vegetarian or a member.
Eat Smart nutrition courses that teach the basics of eating well.
Discounts at many businesses that are available to members.
The VSDC award-winning newsletter, VSDC News, is mailed to members four times per year.
Membership provides benefits to you and the community. Non-vegetarians may join too.
Volunteers do our planning, coordinating, and most other work. More help is always needed.
Through VSDC, you can find vegetarian resources, including local organizations, people, businesses, and events.

VSDC is the oldest vegetarian society in the U.S., and a member of the Vegetarian Union of North American (VUNA) and the International Vegetarian Union (IVU).
