LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE ICHTHYIC ROCK IS READY!!! The absurd band from Ripatransone (Ap) offers his very personal "ichthyic rock". A line-up who went under many changes. Pain is an enemy for many, but not for them 'cause they know how to turn pain into a form of art. This generation discontent feeds the sound of the VARECHINA, an acoustic and deceptive sound. Varechina Loredana: everything started back in 2001. From the crack within some local bands the Varechina Loredana arised. Blues lovers, forrmer crap punk music makers,obsessed by sampling and mocking, deeply in love with liturgical chants and processions, cabaret and theatre. It doesn't exist an exact term to describe their music, let's say their secret is to be very badly-matched from the very start. The VL were taking part to various national competitions for emerging bands: third place in ALTRISUONI 2002; Critics Awards and Best Drummer in ACQUAVIVA ROCK 2002 (Ap); Finalists of the competition New Generation in Castelfidardo (An) in 2002; Winners of the Sound Good Festival 2002. In Sotterranea 2003 they won the Award for the Originality, Best Percussionist and Best Keyboarder; Third place in USELESS MACHINE 2003 in S. Maria Goretti in Offida (Ap); Second place in Sound 2004. First place in ALTRISUONI 2004; Semifinalists REGIONE MARCHE Arezzo Wave 2006. Even TG3 Marche with the TV programme Jang Pipol dealt with the Varechina interviewing them widely. From 2006 on, sailing to the Ichthyic Rock and leaving behind any punk influence, they are performing with a brand new line-up. In 2007 their first cd, entitled "Live in Studio", came out. During 2007 VL takes part in a compilation filled by the TG3 (Italian Television) named Iang Pipol with the song "Mc Coy". Right now they are touring all around in Marche.

L'assurda band del medio_adriatico (Ripatransone,Ascoli Piceno),propone il suo personalissimo "rock ittico". Una formazione che ha subito notevoli mutamenti. La sofferenza è per molti ostile, ma non per noi che abbiamo saputo fare della nostra sofferenza una forma d'arte. Di questo malcontento generazionale vive il suono dei VARECHINA, acustico e fuorviante. Varechina Loredana: tutto accade nel 2001. Dalla spaccatura creatasi da alcuni gruppi locali, nascono i Varechina Loredana. Amanti del blues, ex_punkettari da strapazzo, casinari alla John Zorn, fissati per i campionamenti e gli sberleffi, amanti dei canti liturgici e delle processioni, del cabaret e del teatro. Non abbiamo un termine preciso per definire la nostra musica, diciamo piuttosto che il nostro segreto è stato quello di essere stati male assorti sin dall’inizio. Tra le varie rassegne musicali emergenti nazionali i VL hanno partecipato: Terzo posto ad ALTRISUONI 2002. Premio della Critica e miglior batterista ad AQUAVIVA ROCK 2002 (Ap). Finalisti de il concorso “New Generation” a Castelfidardo (An) nel 2002. Vincitori del Sound Good Festival 2002. A Sotterranea 2003 sono stati vincitori de il Premio per l’Originalità, miglior percussionista, miglior tastierista. Terzo posto a USELESS MACHINE 2003 - S. Maria Goretti di Offida (Ap). Secondo posto al Sound Good Festival 2003. Secondo posto ad ALTRISUONI 2004. Secondo posto a SOTTERRANEA 2004. Primo posto al Sound Good Festival 2004. Anche il TG3 Marche con il programma “JANG PIPOL”, si è occupato dei Varechina intervistandoli lungamente. Semifinalisti REGIONE MARCHE Arezzo Wave 2006. Dal 2006 virando per il Rock Ittico e lasciandosi alle spalle refusi punk,si esibiscono con una nuova formazione. Nel 2007 esce il primo cd dei VL intitolato "Live in Studio".Sempre nello stesso anno,il brano "Mc Coy" è inserito nella compilation Iang Pipol a cura del TG3 Marche;una selezione delle migliori band emergenti della regione. I VL hanno suonato e stanno suonando in giro per le Marche.
